Kay has spent more than 40 years working as a Radio and Television Broadcaster. She was formerly a Presenter for TVNZ and now works as a Radio Newsreader for NZME. (NewstalkZB)
She has extensive experience as a public speaker and was a long-time member of International Training in Communication.
Kay has worked with a number of Boards and community organizations, including the Neurological Foundation, the Sky City Community Trust, The Fraser High School Teen Parent Unit, and Parkinsons Auckland. She spent three years as National Ambassador for Dress for Success and is currently Ambassador for M.S Waikato. Kay served a term as a Hamilton City Councillor before returning to her first love, Broadcasting.
Alongside her radio work, Kay is a Marriage and Funeral Celebrant, works voluntarily on Social Media and Publicity for the Breast Cancer Research Trust in Hamilton, and has been Rowing New Zealand Ceremonial Presenter for 20 years.
She has been MC at many conferences around the country – including TRAFINZ, Women in Medicine, Her Business, The Optometrists Association and the Funeral Directors Association.
In her spare time Kay is an avid golfer and serves on the Board of the Ngaruawahia Golf Club.
